Hi -

I'm Erin, & thanks for stopping by.

I've always been drawn to the unique & one-of-a-kind.  Over the years I've developed a passion for many things self-taught that I've captured and included here. They are the things that make me feel, bring me joy, and I hope some of my creations bring you joy as well.

EZJ Creations is a furniture repurposing workshop and retail storefront dedicated to sustainability, craftsmanship, and community collaboration. I transform discarded or outdated furniture into beautifully restored, functional pieces while also offering handmade gifts and quality consignment items.

My journey began years ago when I started repurposing furniture I found at yard sales, thrift stores, and even on the curb during trash day. What began as a cost-effective way to furnish my home quickly became a passion. I discovered that restoring and reimagining furniture not only reduces waste but also preserves stories—especially when working with sentimental family heirlooms.  The greatest reward is seeing a customer’s reaction when a once-forgotten piece becomes something they love again.

In April 2025, after 11 years at a large financial services firm and more than 30 years in Corporate America, I was laid off. Despite extensive networking and job searching, I was unable to secure new employment. Rather than remain idle, I chose to turn my long-standing passion into a business.  After careful planning with my husband, financial advisor, and mentors, EZJ Creations was born.

The business operates as both a working studio and a storefront. Customers can bring in cherished pieces they want updated to reflect their personal style. I work closely with each client—discussing taste, color palette, and the intended space—to ensure the finished piece aligns with their vision. In addition to custom furniture transformations, the storefront features my repurposed inventory, handmade photo cards, oyster shell chandeliers, and other artisan goods.

A special part of the store is dedicated to my mother’s handmade quilts. After relocating home from Arizona last year, partnering with her has added a meaningful, multigenerational element to the business. I am also creating opportunities for other local artists to sell their handmade items, strengthening community connections and supporting small-scale makers.

EZJ Creations is more than a furniture business—it is a sustainable, community-centered enterprise built on resilience, creativity, and craftsmanship.
